NAAC stands for the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. They conduct annual assessments and accreditations of Higher Educational Institutions that include colleges and universities and give them a ‘Quality Status’. This ‘Quality Status’ helps people understand the quality of education provided at the institution.

The NAAC awards their ‘Quality Status’ based on several categories, such as the educational system, the student’s outcome, teaching-learning processes, curriculum coverage, faculty, research, infrastructure, student services, and well-being.
